In the winter, the water freezes and sticks to the rock face, creating a unique reflective surface – hence the name.
Pacific Coast Highway – Route 101
Soak in magnificent sights of the Pacific Ocean on this All-American Road from California to Washington state. The ultimate must-see here is Big Sur, a magical little village offering some of the best scenery in the west, including McWay Falls, the Santa Lucia Mountains and Cone Peak, the highest coastal mountain in the continental U.S.
