When it comes to partying, bigger is always better. Living in Miami, I’m no stranger to the super club, but it’s the locations where society seems to dissolve and nightlife becomes the de facto ruling force that makes for legendary partying experiences. Ibiza is one of those places.
With cheap airfare from basically all over Europe, Ibiza attracts throngs of house heads from all over the world. Ibiza Town, the center of the nightlife mayhem is home to a slew of mega clubs that could all easily be the centerpiece of any major metropolis’ nocturnal scene. Hell, even Miami has a branch of all the major big brothers in Ibiza like Space, Pacha and Amnesia. But when you’re looking to rompe el suelo at the Disney World of clubs, you have to visit Privilege .
Dubbed stepped the world’s largest club, this thing will swallow you whole and spit you out at 9 AM the next day a different life form. It is so big that you could in no way party in every space in one night. Many spend a whole week just visiting to experience the whole thing.
Privilege boasts 80 foot ceilings, a main room larger than an airplane hanger and the capacity for 10,000 people! This massive space allows for intense light and special productions that make the club a true spectacle that you can be a panting part of every night of the week. There is also a swimming pool to cool off in if Heinekens aren’t doing it for you.
After a night (or week) partying at places like Privilege , chances are you’re going to need a bit of respite before you head home. Ibiza is known for it’s spectacular beaches and outdoor activities. While you can stay at your hotel and lounge by the pool for a few days, if you’re like me, you like to see as much as possible while on vacation, so i’d suggest you find car hire in Ibiza to be able to explore the quaint smaller towns of Ibiza, reach the mountain biking trails and just explore one of the most beautiful of the Balearic Islands.
The best time to visit Ibiza is in the late spring or end of summer when you can usually find slightly better deal, have more agreeable temperatures and avoid waiting in epic lines at the clubs (unless you’re willing to shell out for VIP!)
Have you ever been to Privilege, what did you think?
